We offer three beautiful, self-catering holiday cottages and apartments within the sought after village of Bamburgh in Northumberland. Finished to an exceptional standard, Captain’s Landing is an apartment within West House which enjoys outstanding views of the sea and Lindisfarne Castle in the distance. There is also a small balcony overlooking well-kept communal gardens.
The Greenhouse and Greenleaf are centrally located within the village of Bamburgh and provide holiday accommodation within a beautiful victorian mid-terrace house. The Greenhouse and Greenleaf can be booked together to accommodate 12 guests or eight and four guests respectively.
Free parking is provided with all our accommodation in Bamburgh, which is also dog friendly.

Captain’s Landing is located on the top floor of West House in Bamburgh, ideally located to give you the best views of the sea from our large bay window.
The open plan accommodation comprises of a welcoming living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities you could possibly need for a great stay in Bamburgh, Northumberland.
The bedrooms comprise of one large double with built in wardrobes, and a twin. Both bedrooms share a well-presented shower room WC and basin. Bedding and towels are provided.
You are welcome to enjoy our well-tended communal garden.
We provide two parking spaces with your booking on the private drive.
Please note this flat is on the top floor, therefore there are two flights of stairs to climb, which are not steep and there are handrails on one side.
We welcome up to two pets to stay with you in Captain’s Landing, however we charge £20 per pet per stay and politely request that no pets are allowed on furniture or left unattended.

The Greenhouse

The Greenhouse is a large Victorian four bedroom mid terrace house situated in the centre of the historic coastal village of Bamburgh in Northumberland.
Each of the 4 bedrooms in The Greenhouse are en-suite and provides the perfect base to explore Northumberland and is located within strolling distance of superb restaurants, shops, Bamburgh Castle and miles of white sandy beaches.
The Greenhouse offers a spacious lounge with a large bay window overlooking the grove, as well as a snug/reading room. The open plan kitchen/ diner is light and airy with seating for 8 guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances including a range style cooker and a laundry room. The lounge and kitchen/diner have solid oak flooring throughout.
The Greenhouse can be booked separately to accommodate 8 guests or can be booked with our adjoining cottage “Greenleaf”, to sleep up to 12 guests.
On the first floor guests will find two large bedrooms, one with a king size bed, and the other with a king size bed that can split off into two single beds. Both rooms have flatscreen digital televisions and en-suites with a shower, wash hand basin and toilet. These rooms have space for a cot which can be provided upon request. There are also two smaller bedrooms – one with a king size bed, one with a double bed, and both en-suite with a shower, wash hand basin and toilet.
Outside is an enclosed courtyard.

Greenleaf is a spacious two bedroom wing attached to the rear of The Greenhouse. This modern property is perfect for families with it’s large open plan sitting and dining room. The property provides a wonderful base to explore Northumberland, which is set in the heart of the historic coastal village of Bamburgh.
Greenleaf is located within strolling distance of a selection of brilliant restaurants and shops, Bamburgh Castle and miles of white sandy beaches.
Greenleaf’s ground floor features an open plan lounge and dining area with a frosted glass window. This room features comfortable seating, solid oak flooring, a flat screen TV, dining table and chairs. The newly fitted kitchen has access to an enclosed, walled garden with a patio area and a small patch of lawn. There is also a separate laundry room.
Greenleaf can be booked separately to sleep up to 4 guests, or booked together with The Greenhouse to sleep up to 12 guests.
On the first floor, there is a large bedroom with a king size bed. In addition, there is a twin room with two full size single divan beds and a separate large family bathroom with a walk in shower.
Greenleaf has its own small walled garden with lawn and patio area which is beautifully sheltered making it a real sun trap.
Greenleaf has the advantage of a private parking space.

With the famous Bamburgh Castle, beach dunes and independent shops on your doorstep, Captain’s Landing in West House is one of the most sought after places to stay in the area.
The village of Bamburgh is known for the imposing 12th Century Bamburgh Castle, which stands guard over the Northumberland coast. This fine coastal fortress has an incredible Anglo Saxon history and is home to military artefacts. The castle is open to the public for remarkable tours of 14 staterooms, artworks, ceramics and for an insight into the life of William Armstrong.
With its historic castle overlooking the vast expanse of golden sand and towering dunes, Bamburgh beach is the definition of an ideal beach location.
Bamburgh beach is a perfect spot for long beach strolls throughout the year, and during autumn and winter, there is a good chance you’ll spot the Northern Lights, where streaks of green and purple light glitter across the night sky. It is truly amazing.
For those who enjoy water sports and jumping over waves, Bamburgh Beach is also a good spot for surfing!
Blacketts Gift Shop – Bamburgh
Based in the village of Bamburgh, Blacketts has, for many years, been a destination for those looking for something a little bit different. Every item has been carefully picked, taking inspiration from the spectacular Northumbrian coastline and countryside.
The Pantry is a small foodie gem in Bamburgh, selling Doddington ice cream, Northumberland Cheese, Swalllowfish Kippers, and lots of other delicious goodies. When the sea allows, they also sell fresh crab rolls, dressed crab and kippers from Seahouses.
The Coop – Seahouses
Located just off the seafront, the Coop provides all your daily essentials
Local butchers R Carter & Sons offer meat and sausages of the finest quality. They’re renowned for working with local farmers to source their lamb, beef and pork, as well as selling other local produce. They also offer a wide range of homemade pies and award-winning bacon, which is cured and smoked on the premises. And for pudding, we highly recommend you dip into their bakery too.
Post Office – Seahouses
Seahouses post office is located just off the harbour and is open from 7:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday. 7:30am – 4:00pm on a Saturday and 7:30am – 3:00pm on a Sunday.
We recommend heading to Alnwick for larger supermarkets.
Rated as one of the best places to visit in UK by The Times, The Tempus is an outstanding restaurant on the Charlton Hall Estate which offers a delightful and utterly luxurious dining experience.
The à la carte menu, curated by Head Chef Alistair Weightman, evolves with the seasons and combines the comfort of tradition with familiar favourites such as fish and chips, pie of the day, and a selection of three exceptional steak cuts.
The Tempus is also an excellent option for scrumptious Sunday roasts, complete with all the traditional accompaniments.

For laid back alfresco dining, The Tipi at The Tempus is a must-visit during your stay in Bamburgh.

Set on the delightful village green overlooking Bamburgh Castle, the Victoria Hotel offers fine food and drink which is served all day in their Bar & Brasserie.
Situated opposite Bamburgh Castle, The Lord Crewe is open for morning tea & coffee, light lunches, evening meals & Sunday lunch. They use local suppliers as much as possible for their meat, fish and vegetables. The bar stocks real ale, lager, cider, stout, craft beer and premium spirits as well as excellent wine.
Elan Pizzeria serves affordable and irresistible artisan food with a unique panache. Their menu includes handmade pizzas which are freshly baked to order in an open kitchen.
A dog friendly, award-winning gastro pub located in the village of Lucker, The Apple Inn offers an unbeatable dining experience using some of the best Northumbrian produce, along with some of the best real ales, ciders and beers on the market.
This restaurant and coffee shop offers a selection of teas and coffees along with a mouth-watering choice of homemade cakes and tasty homemade dishes from soups and sandwiches, to beef burgers and fishcakes.
Carnaby’s is a family run business offering a selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes that are all prepared using fresh, local produce. Situated on the A1, Carnaby’s offers an ‘industrial chic’ ambience and somewhere where you can eat, relax and browse their family shop
